Absolutely beautiful hotel. We stayed in the deluxe cave suite and the room was perfect with a private pool nestled in the cliff looking over the sea. Friendly, helpful staff and great location away from the crowds. I highly recommend Gundari and Folegandros.

Pro ▪ Staff incredibly kind and helpful. ▪ Minimalist modern with a well done but simple property. ▪ Loungers at each room are the most comfortable I’ve ever sat on. ▪ Great food. ▪ Decent gym for a hotel this size. ▪ Daily beach drop to a beach about 15 mins away. ▪ Free shuttle at dinner time to Chora. ▪ Super secluded, nothing for the 12 minutes drive into town. (could be a con if you don’t want this!) o Con ▪ Windiest spot on the island, which according to locals is why they got the property for “cheap”. Despite not being windy season, you really couldn’t sit by the pool. We noticed that across the 3 days we were there, they only people sitting by the pool were the ones who had checked out but were waiting for the one ferry that day off the island. • Note: Luckily our room was situated in a way that it was protected from wind as it wasn’t a cave room and was protected by surrounding buildings. Room 5.

This was an amazing trip. The hotel is so special and beautiful and the people at the hotel made this a memorable experience. i have to note that the food at the restaurant is the best on the island. You have to try the shrimp risotto. Can’t wait to return back.

This is the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world and truly lean into relaxation. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and peaceful, and all of the staff I encountered were friendly. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and well taken care of. The hotel takes care of every small detail, and truly provides an unforgettable experience. I hope to come back one day
